Blue Lake Crop Weekend

I went to a new crop this weekend at a campground called Blue Lake. The ladies were just lovely and so welcoming and I had a wonderful time. One thing I learned is that I HAVE to figure out a way to bring less and bring it in a more organized way. I think I want to get some buddy bags from Totally Tiffany because they are square and will slide down into a bag in a more organized way.

I went on her web site and added all the things I wanted to my cart. Then I looked at my total and ran away screaming. LOL

I did recently get a ScrapRack when she was on HSN last and I think I’m going to like it, although I have a ways to go until it’s organize properly. i took it with me weekend and it worked out pretty well. I do hate the page sag but I think it’ll be fine once I get things settled in better. I did enjoy just flipping through it and “shopping” for what I needed. But my organization definitely needs some work.

I completed 10 single page scrapbook and 1 double page. I also made 13 cards from my Spellbinders July kit and I love them. I will share them all on here and on my instagram @shelliemariecrafts. I brought them with me today so I can take pictures.

Just wanted to pop in for a quick update! More to come soon!

Checking in. What's been going on around here.

For the past several months I’ve really gotten back into card making. Card making is what got me started in scrapbooking to begin with many years ago (technically I wasn’t so much card making as I was buying card making supplies, but that’s irrelevant).

But at Christmas I decided to make my Christmas cards again and it just snowballed from there. But I’m loving it and I’m planning to stick with it. When I sit down to scrapbook, I very rarely have my photos prepared so card making allows me to paper craft and use my supplies without having to have any photos printed! It’s a win.

Now my problem is that I put off taking photos of them for months and then take them all at once. But last weekend I took pictures of about 35 that have been just sitting in a pile waiting on me. So I’ve started posting them on my Instagram account. Yay! I’d love it if you followed me over there @shelliemariecrafts

I plan to share more thorough posts on this blog and I’m looking forward to it. It’s great to be excited about my crafting again. I’d hit a bit of a lull just not knowing what I was doing and where I was going with it. Being single and childless sometimes makes it harder for me to feel like I fit in the scrapbooking world sometimes - but I’m finding my niche.

I’ve also been going to monthly crops at my local scrapbooking store Scrapbooking Life. I went to my first crop ever in April and I just loved it. I got sooooo much done and the ladies there were so nice. So I also went to the crops in May, June and this past weekend in July. I just love it so much. Three solid days of nothing but scrapbooking, card making and super sweet people.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hi and post a little update about what’s been going on around here. Things should be picking up around here soon. I have some fun idea and big plans!

Talk to you soon,

Shellie

Hi friends.

Hi friends and welcome. This is just a small creative space for me to talk about whatever i like. Probably lots of creative activities, because basically that’s what I do. I knit, I sew, I make paper crafts - greeting cards, memory keeping and mini memory albums.

I don’t really have a specific goal in mind for this blog, I’m just hoping to have fun and entertain myself and maybe others.

Thanks for stopping by. Stick around!
